Renate Pirstner-Ebner

Renate Pirstner-Ebner is a Senior Scientist at the Research Center for Climate Law (ClimLaw: Graz) and the Department for Public Law and Political Science at the University of Graz. In addition to constitutional and administrative law in the light of EU law, her research interests include energy law with a focus on climate protection energy law (including renewable energies, energy efficiency, the energy system of the future). She is the author of the textbooks "Energierecht" (facultas-Verlag) and "European Energy Law" (Nomos-Verlag). For the latter, she was awarded the research prize of the Faculty of Law at the University of Graz. She is also an associate member of the field of excellence "Climate Change Graz" and of the Climate Protection Law working group of the Climate Change Center Austria (CCCA) climate research network. She leads cooperation projects with the Faculty of Law at the University of Havana (including the Climate Law Winter School Havana) and the University of Cienfuegos. She is also a lecturer in energy law at the University of Leoben.
