The Clim:Law-Center Graz was ceremonially opened on June 17th 2020 with a symposium attended by top-class representatives of Austrian and international climate research.
For the future it is planned to organise a major international conference on climate protection law every two years, and in the years in between a conference focusing on questions of Austrian and European climate protection law will be held.
Thus, this year and next year two Austrian conferences in the field of climate protection law will already be co-organised: on the one hand, the Austrian Environmental Law Days (September 16th - 17th 2020) will be devoted to the general topic of climate protection law, and the traditional Spring Conference of the Austrian Commission of Jurists (ÖJK) (June 3rd - 5th 2021) will also deal with the topic of "Climate Protection and Human Rights". In addition, an international conference focusing on transport and climate protection will be held in Graz in spring 2021.
